In late December 2021, during a segment on Tucker Carlson Tonight, FOX News titled its report on migration at the border as “Biden’s open-border policy is reckless and dangerous.” And in November, the House GOP published an article titled Biden’s Open Border Policies Have Deadly Consequences. While usage of the phrase “open border” has become more popular, with both Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Texas Senator Ted Cruz invoking the term when offering critiques of the administration, those who study the situation say their usage of the term is incorrect....

A 35 second clip of the eulogy was viewed by nearly half a million times in the six hours after it was shared by the Twitter account of Students for Trump. U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton issued a temporary restraining order against a Department of Homeland Security memo that instructed agencies to pause deportations for some undocumented immigrants. The restraining order was sought by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Hours after Biden was inaugurated on January 20, acting Homeland Security Secretary David Pekoske called for deportations to be halted, starting January 22, while “policies and practices regarding immigration enforcement are being reviewed....

Biden gave his first network TV interview to CBS Evening News’ Norah O’Donnell on Friday and she asked him directly about his predecessor continuing to have access to classified intel. “Let me ask you, then, something you do have oversight of as president.
