Kruk was set to call the game as part of ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball crew alongside play-by-play broadcaster Dan Shulman, who noted Kruk's condition to open the broadcast.
"Out buddy John Kruk is a little under the weather right now," he said.
He was conscious and responsive as he was taken away.
ESPN has released a statement through its Communications Manager, Ben Cafardo, saying that Kruk has been diagnosed with dehydration.
